Terms of Service

Cookd is operated by Eastbase Studio (“Eastbase Studio”, “we”, “us”, “our”), an independent product studio and the provider of the Cookd service. Cookd is a private tool for capturing your work — your wins, goals, and learning — and turning it into documents like performance-review drafts, promotion cases, and resume bullets.

• You need an account to use Cookd. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live.
• Provide accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.

Everything you capture in Cookd — your wins, goals, learning, notes, and the documents you generate — belongs to you. We don’t claim ownership of it. We only process it to provide the product to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. Cookd is single-user by design: there is no team sharing, and your content is private to your account.

Some features use AI to help you capture and strengthen your work, analyze goals and promotion readiness, and generate documents. When you use them, the relevant text you’ve captured is sent to our configured AI provider — OpenAI by default, or Google Gemini when the rollback configuration is active — to generate a response. A few things to know:

• Cookd is designed to ground AI output in the content you provide rather than to fabricate details. Even so, AI output can be incomplete or incorrect — always review it before you rely on it or share it. You are responsible for the final content.
• AI features are optional. Where no AI provider is configured, Cookd falls back to deterministic generation and the product remains usable.
• Don’t present AI-assisted text as something it isn’t in a way that misleads others.

You agree not to:

• Use Cookd for anything unlawful, or to store or process content you don’t have the right to store or process.
• Upload confidential or sensitive information that isn’t yours to share. Cookd is for recording your own work and accomplishments — so please keep out employer confidential information, trade secrets, passwords or credentials, private customer or other third-party personal data, proprietary source code, and regulated data (such as health, financial, or government-classified information). When in doubt, paraphrase the outcome rather than pasting the source material.
• Attempt to access other users’ data, probe or disrupt the service, or bypass security or rate limits.
• Resell, scrape, or build a competing service from the product.

Cookd offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for all Cookd purchases and handles payment and checkout, so your purchase is also subject to the Lemon Squeezy buyer terms shown at checkout. Pro plans renew automatically (monthly or annually) until you cancel; you can cancel anytime and keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. Cookd is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. It’s an early-stage product in active development — we may add, change, or remove features, and we may have downtime for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We’ll give reasonable notice of material changes where we can.

Cookd helps you organize and present your own work. It does not guarantee any particular outcome — a review rating, a promotion, a raise, or a job. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cookd and Eastbase Studio are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using Cookd at any time. To delete your account and personal data, email support@eastbase.studio and we’ll take care of it — the Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data and our retention windows. Before deleting, you can export the documents you’ve generated. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the product in a way that risks harm to others or to the service.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at Eastbase Studio’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any disputes will be handled by the courts with jurisdiction there. We may update these terms as the product evolves; when we do, we’ll change the “Updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in-app or by email. Continuing to use Cookd after a change means you accept the updated terms.
